Putre – Surire Salt Flat – Putre
Day 1: Putre/Las Vicuñas National Reserve/Surire Salt Flat/Putre
Departure from the town of Putre, visit the Las Cuevas area, an archaeological complex where we will enjoy a trek along the path, which offers direct contact with nature through impressive views. We make a detour crossing the Pampa Ancochalloani, which stands out with a scenic background towards the Payachatas Volcanoes. We enter the Las Vicuñas National Reserve, where it is possible to observe the Town of Ancuta, visit the Town of Guallatire and its 17th century church, which is oriented towards the active Guallatire Volcano. At noon we will be arriving at one of the main destinations such as the Salar de Surire (4,245 m.a.s.l.) where we find three species of flamingos (Andean, Chilean, James). Later we take a pleasant natural mud bath in the Termas de Polloquere, where its temperatures reach 66°C, return to the town of Putre.
