Putre – Vilacabrani – Putre
Day 1: Putre/Vilacabrani Cave Paintings/Putre
Departure from the town of Putre, where we begin the trek towards Pampa Lluscuma, an excellent place to contemplate native nature and also a famous scene where a UFO was sighted by a group of Chilean soldiers. Walking along the path, you can appreciate a panoramic point that offers us a view of the Nevados de Putre, from another horizon. We enter through the impressive landscapes, which encourage us to continue towards the Cave Paintings of Vilacabrani (3,600 m.a.s.l.), located 12 kms. west of Putre. We will cross charming cobblestone paths that lead us to witness the pictorial manifestation developed by primitive man. Upon arrival we can enjoy this cave technique that reveals the human being, who organized a system of artistic representation, which were generally made for religious purposes, return to the town of Putre.
